The Greene School held its first in-person Open House on Dec 9th. Check out more pictures on the " Schedule a Tour " tab. Many families came to visit the school and tour the beautiful 70 acre rural campus. All teaching and support staff were there to answer questions and provide information about what makes our school unique. There will be three more smaller Informational Meetings held before the lottery on April 1, 2024. Please keep an eye on the website calendar if you would still like a chance to come see the school!

After a short hiatus (thank you COVID) from the TGS Global Ventures Program, we are excited to announce that we will be traveling this February break to the Caribbean shorelines of Corozal Bay, Belize. We'll be immersed in an ancient Mayan fishing village where locals still make their living from the richness of the Belize Barrier Reef.

Congratulations to Mr. Jeff Johnson for being recognized by the teachers and administration for his commitment to the school mission and his partnership in developing relevant and meaningful fieldwork experiences with students.

At a press conference held on June 8, RIDE announced the recipients of the 2023 Learning Inside Out Grants. The Greene School was awarded $100,000 each for the two grant applications we submitted. Click on the link above to read the press release by the Rhode Island Department of Education.

The Greene School senior, Thatcher LeBlanc has been accepted to Cornell University!

Students from The Greene School were invited by Rhode Island State Senator Meghan Kallman, a Democrat representing District 15 (Pawtucket, Providence), to testify at Senate Committee Hearings on April 26 about Senate Bill 196. Senate Bill 196 addresses the banning of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
